Associate Director of Student Services Nikki Bruckmann assists with the application process and is here to answer program, cultural and academic questions before departure. Being completely inspired by the personal impact of her experience, Nikki continued to work for the program as a service learning assistant, preparing students for their predeparture and assisting them while abroad. After graduation, Nikki spent a year living and working abroad and returned home to obtain her masters in Social and Cultural Anthropology. Nikki is passionate about higher education, culture and study abroad.
Program Advisor Liz Mach assists with the application process and is here to answer program, cultural and academic questions before departure. Liz graduated from Purdue University and studied abroad in southern France. She has also traveled through the Czech Republic, the Dominican Republic, England, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Mexico, Peru, Scotland and Spain. Before moving to her current position, Liz served as an Academic Affairs Coordinator at IFSA-Butler. Program Advisor Michelle Mannweiler prepares students to study abroad by assisting them with the application process and answering program, cultural, and academic questions. Michelle is a Butler University graduate and majored in both Middle/Secondary Education and Spanish. Michelle also studied for a semester in Costa Rica through IFSA’s program. She joined the IFSA-Butler team in order to assist students in achieving their goals in new and interesting places. Michelle currently advises students planning to study in England and Wales. Program Advisor Hannah Sutton assists with the application process and is here to answer program, cultural and academic questions before departure. Hannah graduated from Butler University with a bachelor’s degree in English Literature. During her junior year, Hannah spent a semester in Dublin on the IFSA-Butler Ireland program. Her experience led her to develop a passion for study abroad and education and she joined the IFSA-Butler team to help guide other students to their own study abroad adventures. Program Advisor Jennifer McKibben assists with the application process and is here to answer program, cultural and academic questions before departure. Jennifer studied abroad in Costa Rica for a year through an IFSA-Butler program. After completing her undergraduate degree in Spanish at Butler University, she moved to Costa Rica for three years to immerse herself in the culture and pursue a Master’s degree in Spanish-English Translation at Universidad Nacional. She is very passionate about helping students have impactful, enriching experiences abroad. A Wisconsin native, Program Advisor Kerry Springer has traveled and lived all over Asia, including studying abroad in Varanasi, teaching in Chennai, and carrying out fieldwork research in Pondicherry. Kerry holds two bachelor’s degrees from the University of Wisconsin, as well as a master’s degree from Jawaharlal Nehru University in New Delhi. A foreign language enthusiast, she has both strong cross-cultural communication skills and first-hand insight into foreign educational systems, homestays, and student life abroad. Kerry looks forward to drawing on her own experiences in India to help IFSA-Butler and Alliance students make the most out of their endeavors across the Middle East and Asia.
Program Advisor Emma Diebold assists with the application process and is here to answer program, cultural and academic questions before departure. Emma completed her undergraduate degree in Geography: Travel & Tourism at Ball State University. She went abroad with the BSU Geography Department to Eastern and Central Europe and has enjoyed personal travels to several destinations including Belgium, France, Ireland, Peru, Ecuador and The Bahamas. Emma joined the IFSA- Butler team to aid students who want to explore the world and advises students planning to study abroad in England. Program Advisor Julia Lieberman assists the student through the application process in addition to answering cultural and logistic questions about the study abroad experience. Julia graduated from Clark University with a Bachelor’s degree in Geography. She studied abroad twice during undergraduate, for a semester in Belize and then for an independent study in Nicaragua. She has traveled extensively studying, working and living abroad, mainly in South America and Europe. These life-changing experiences lead Julia to her interest in study abroad and he desire to help others do so. Program Advisor Kendall Hook assists with the application process and is here to answer program, cultural and academic questions before departure. Kendall studied abroad twice during her undergraduate career, in Florence, Italy for a summer term, and London, England for a semester internship program. In addition, she has personally traveled all over Europe and the U.K. She graduated from Baylor University and completed a Master’s degree in Higher Education Administration from Vanderbilt University, specifically concentrating on International Education Policy Management. She is very excited to help students find their fit, plan their own study abroad adventures and help them step outside of their comfort zone. Program Advisor Aimee Formo is here to assist with the application process and to answer program, cultural and academic questions before departure. Aimee completed her graduate degrees in History and Library Science at Indiana University, and her undergraduate degree in History at Randolph-Macon Woman’s College. She studied abroad with R-MWC’s program at the University of Reading, where she focused on 19th century social reform movements. Upon return from your study abroad program, Assistant Director for Academic Records Rhonda Hinkle processes your Butler University transcript and assists with any academic record appeals. Rhonda completed her undergraduate coursework at the University of Evansville and received her master's degree from Bowling Green State University. She also has taken doctoral courses at Ball State University. For Rhonda, study abroad not only increased her awareness of the world around her but also ignited her passion for travel and education. Academic Records Coordinator Abby Miller graduated from Butler University where she worked as a guide for international students from all over the world. From that experience and combined with her own world travels, she knows the amazing experiences that studying abroad can provide. As the Director for Safety and Security, Eryn Espín-Kudzinski monitors world events in the regions where IFSA-Butler operates programs and serves on the Crisis Management Team when major incidents arise involving IFSA-Butler students. Eryn began working at IFSA-Butler in 2004 as an academic affairs coordinator, then moved into program advising for programs in Latin America and Spain. In 2011, she began her role as AD for Safety and Security which is a newly created position for IFSA-Butler. Eryn graduated from Indiana University with a bachelor’s degree in human development and family studies. She completed a master’s degree in history from Butler University in 2009. Student & Parent Services Manager Donnetta Spears is available to both students and parents for travel questions and information. Donnetta has worked with IFSA-Butler for 11 years, and she has traveled through parts of Europe, Latin America, Australia and New Zealand. As the mother of 4 college students (including one who studied abroad on an IFSA-Butler program), she has a deep understanding of the ins-and-outs of study abroad from a parent perspective.
