Elaine won a £500 Excellence Scholarship from King's College London. The scholarship was based on academic achievement, personal statement and the writing of three themed "mini blogs." Click here to read more.

Zachary was awarded the UCL Department of Economics John Pencavel Prize for Affiliate Students. This is an annual award that the department gives to the visiting student deemed to have performed best in the Economics examinations.

William Hancock-Cerutti

William received a Fulbright Scholarship for a year of research in Paris. He will be studying molecular and cellular biology at Université de Pierre et Marie Curie. Read more.

Kellen completed the London Marathon and won the women's division, even though it was only her second marathon. Read more.

Michaela Miragliotta

Argentine Universities Program

Michaela, winner of IFSA-Butler's first Mike Owens NAFSA Scholarship, is now an English language assistant at an elementary school. She credits her IFSA-Butler experience in Argentina as a great help in her work with children.

Hannah was a competitor on TV's Jeopardy! College Championships. Hannah came in second place in the semifinals and competed against college students from around the country. Read more.

Anthony Soroka

Anthony made the varsity basketball team at Oxford. Although Oxford didn't have a winning season, they did beat their rival Cambridge.

Julia Tindell

Worcester College, University of Oxford

Julia was chosen to speak at GAC's 2013 commencement ceremony. Julia is graduating with a major in English and minor in theatre and also served as an IFSA-Butler Ambassador following her study abroad experience.

Victor Yang
Harvard University
St. Catherine's College, University of Oxford

Victor was named a 2012 Rhodes Scholar. A history and science major at Harvard, Victor is also a U.S. presidential scholar and a member of Phi Beta Kappa. While at St. Catherine's College, he won the prestigious Oxford Law Society essay competition. His other study abroad experience includes HIV/AIDS antiretroviral services in South Africa and teaching English in Bulgaria. Victor will do the master of public policy at Oxford.
