YOUR PROGRAM HAS BEEN SUSPENDED. NOW WHAT?

We understand. You found your best-fit IFSA study abroad program and may have even completed your application. The excitement of a once-in-a-lifetime learning experience in a different country was on the near horizon. But, in the interest of your health and safety, your intended program has been suspended. This may have been due to travel restrictions, increasing COVID-19 concerns in the host country, or the host institution suspending study abroad programs temporarily.

We understand this is disappointing. But, we’re here to help you find an alternative program in which you can expand your knowledge, cultural awareness, and international understanding next spring. With the assistance of our resident staff around the world, we have carefully curated alternative programs that are still accepting applications for Spring 2022 for your consideration.

Consider the suggestions below. Review the programs online. Explore even more with IFSA’s Global Wayfinder search tool or by watching our webcast about finding your ideal study abroad program. Then contact your IFSA program advisor for assistance in selecting your new, best-fit program.

It’s important to note that during these uncertain times additional program options may be suspended in the future
