Heather Powell Browne is the Assistant Director of Global Education at Colorado College. She started at CC in 2008, and before that worked with International Programs at Santa Clara University, also her alma mater.
Originally from California, she studied communication and art history as an undergraduate at Santa Clara University, with a study abroad semester with the Syracuse University program in Florence.
She has a Master’s degree in Intercultural Relations from the University of the Pacific in conjunction with the Intercultural Communication Institute, and her capstone work focused on digital storytelling as a method of intercultural learning and reflection.
She has presented on enhancing first-generation student access to study abroad, and understanding the heritage-seeking study abroad student, and she is interested in exploring how we can expand opportunities for student-parents to study abroad.
