Taylor Woodman
University of Maryland

Taylor C. Woodman joined the IFSA Executive Committee in 2017 and currently leads the committee’s Inclusive Excellence Working Group. He currently serves as a lecturer for the colleges of education at the University of Maryland and the George Washington University. Taylor also facilitates the Global Classrooms Initiative operations and faculty fellows program for the Office of International Affairs (OIA) at the University of Maryland.

Prior to joining OIA, Taylor served as the Manager of Advising Services in the Office for Study Abroad at the George Washington University. A passionate international education advocate, Taylor frequently presents at international, national and regional education conferences on themes related to privilege, storytelling, and fostering inclusive excellence in study abroad.

Taylor holds a B.A. in Public and Urban Affairs from Virginia Tech and a M.A. in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies and a Ph.D. in International Education Policy from the University of Maryland, where his dissertation research studied U.S. and Cuban Academic Exchange.
