“International education and intercultural agility are critical to supporting a future world in which we can all work together for a peaceful planet. I’m proud to be part of a team that works toward that goal.”
Education
Amy graduated from the University of Wisconsin at Milwaukee with a Master of Arts in Linguistics and a Master of Arts in Political Science. Building on an undergraduate degree in international relations, she studied German and Arabic in Germany, Tunisia, and Jordan.
Travel Experience
Amy first studied overseas in high school as a Rotary Exchange student in Bundaberg, Queensland, Australia. This prompted her thirst for more and she then spent a year in Freiburg, Germany as an undergraduate. As a graduate student, she studied in Munich, Germany; Tunis, Tunisia; and Irbid, Jordan. Her travel has included work and pleasure trips to the United Kingdom, France, Czech Republic, Austria, Italy, Israel, the Arabian Gulf states, Cuba, Nicaragua, and Brazil. She dreams of traveling to India, Thailand, and South Africa.
Did You Know?
Amy spent her senior year of high school in Australia, where the highlight was a three-week trip for exchange students from around the world through the outback in karaoke-equipped buses while sleeping in bright orange, two-person tents.
