“When living or spending time abroad, my first instinct and desire is always to get to know the place by taking long walks to new neighborhoods and obscure locations, reading as much as I can about those destinations to help bring them to life. Similarly, helping individuals to find their own way in new cities, languages, cultures, and learning experiences is what has shaped my entire career and led me to IFSA.”
Education
Colin has a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Colorado at Boulder in German and English, a Master of Arts from Georgetown University in German, and a Master of Business Administration from China Europe International Business School.
Travel Experience
Colin spent a full year abroad in Regensburg, Germany during his undergraduate studies, which propelled him to earn his master’s degree in German, to complete a teaching fellowship in Innsbruck, to study in St. Gallen, and to work in Berlin and Munich. He has also studied in Shanghai and lived in London for the past six years. At heart, he is still a mountain boy and enjoys spending time in Southern Germany, Austria, Switzerland, and his home state of Colorado.
Did You Know?
Since moving to London, Colin has made a point of starring all pubs in Google Maps that he would strongly recommend. His goal is to have a recommendation within a five-minute walk of wherever he or someone he knows might find themselves in this great city
