“My favorite part about working for a great organization like IFSA is meeting a whole new set of students every four months. I enjoy exploring my student passions, challenges, and future goals. There nothing better than receiving emails or messages from past students describing how their study abroad experience transformed their life and inspired them to reach beyond their comfort zone. Being a part of that life-altering realization is incredible.”
Education
Rachel graduated from the University of Massachusetts-Amherst with a Bachelor of Art in History. After five years of teaching, Rachel moved to Galway, Ireland where she completed her Master of Art in Irish History and Literature.
Travel Experience
Rachel first study abroad experience was her junior year of college, studying abroad for a semester in Cork, Ireland. She returned to the U.S. feeling a little piece of her was left in the Emerald Isle. It took seven years, but return she did and she doesn’t plan to leave anytime soon. Rachel has traveled around Europe and has her sights set on trips to Asia and New Zealand in the near future.
Did You Know?
Rachel is currently writing her first historical fiction novel based in, you guessed it, Ireland.
