Headshot of Tamara Bycroft

“The time I spent living abroad forever changed the way I viewed the world. It tested preconceptions, habits, and ideas that I wasn’t even aware were so engrained. I am thrilled to now have the opportunity to support students as they prepare for this momentous time in their own lives.”

Education

Tamara graduated from the University of Queensland with a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and Communication. She then obtained her Bachelor of Education from Queensland University of Technology and her Cambridge CELTA (Certificate in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) through the University of Queensland.

Travel Experience

Tamara lives in Australia but as soon as she was able to work, she began saving money to travel. One of her first trips was to America, but she has since also traveled to Vietnam, Thailand, Singapore, Ecuador, Russia, and throughout Europe. Tamara lived, worked, and studied in Germany for three years which was a life-defining experience.

Tamara is fascinated by reptiles (yes, even snakes) and has a pet bearded dragon called Spike.
