“Studying abroad expands your worldview, and it gives you the opportunity to immerse yourself in a new culture. Studying, living, and traveling abroad has impacted me in significant ways, and taught me more about myself. I am eager to work in a field where I get to share my international experiences with others, and encourage students to travel abroad.”
Emily graduated from Middle Tennessee State University in 2018 with a bachelor’s degree in global studies. She recently received her master’s degree in global higher education from Universidad de Alcalá in Madrid, Spain.
Emily has traveled to Japan, Portugal, and the Czech Republic. In the summer of 2017, she studied abroad during a faculty-led trip with her university to the Yucatán Peninsula in Mexico. She also served as an English teaching assistant in Spain for three years.
