ACADEMIC RECORD APPEAL PROCESS

You may appeal the content of your transcript according to the official procedures set by the host university and/or program. IFSA can assist you with an academic record appeal for any IFSA program by contacting the host institution you attended and/or program instructor, as well as our staff abroad for further information. Students wishing to begin an appeal should carefully read this page to understand what constitutes a valid appeal and the process for submitting an appeal.

Academic record appeals can be varied in nature, including grade appeals, credit appeals, courses missing from the transcript, course title, etc. In some cases, you might simply want to request further feedback in order to understand the basis for your grade. You must have reason to believe that an error has been made in calculating your grades to submit a valid appeal.

All appeals must be submitted to IFSA via the Academic Appeal Form within 90 days of receiving official grades from your program. It is your responsibility to be aware of and meet any academic appeal deadlines set by the host university and/or program attended. The earliest deadline takes precedence.
