Education
Antoinette earned her Ph.D. and M.Phil. in Latin American literature at New York University. She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish and French from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
Travel Experience
As an undergraduate, Antoinette spent her junior year abroad studying at the Universidad Complutense in Madrid and a semester studying in Paris. These early experiences set her on the path to pursuing her Ph.D. and becoming a university professor in New York, where she taught for decades. During those years, she traveled extensively throughout Latin America, lived in Buenos Aires, and led study abroad programs there as well as in Nicaragua, Cuba, and Spain. She relocated to Barcelona in 2019.
