Carol Lebold

Biography

Carol Lebold is the Director of Education Abroad Advising & Student Success at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. For more than 20 years she has worked in the field of international education, with an emphasis on Africa and the Middle East.

Her educational and professional background began in public health and policy, with graduate work and advanced training in intercultural communication and multicultural mediation. Her involvement with the field includes participation with NAFSA, the Forum, and Diversity Abroad as presenter, trainer, and contributor to various workshops, publications and special projects.

She has chaired the Committee for Underrepresentation in Education Abroad, was a member of NAFSA’s Trainer Corps, and served as a NAFSA Academy VIII Coach for Region XI.

On a personal note, she designs mosiacs and nags family, friends and colleagues to recycle and reuse as much as possible.
