Headshot of Diana Arizaga

“After many years in the field with other institutions in the U.S. and abroad, I find IFSA allows me to constantly change, be flexible, creative, challenge myself, and think that anything I can think of, even crazy things, can be done if it is for the good of the students. I love that there is always a new project in the works.”

Education

Diana started as a psychology major until a strike broke out at her university in Ecuador and it shut down. She transferred to an art school in Madrid, Spain for her bachelor’s degree and master’s degree in art history and design with a minor in Italian. Diana is currently working a Master of Arts in Transgenerational Psychology.

Travel Experience

Originally from Quito, Ecuador, Diana was a high school exchange student to Louisiana and California and could never go home again. She has worked in the study abroad offices in the U.S. and has been a resident director in Ecuador, Spain, and Mexico. Her most memorable experience was taking a group of students to Nepal and seeing its amazing mountains!

Did You Know?

Diana went 21 days without taking a shower, while hiking and camping in the beautiful national parks in the western part of the United States. It was well worth it!
