My own study abroad journey was life-changing, and I have striven since to ensure that I do all I can to both bring these opportunities to as many people as possible, and to ensure that the opportunities we provide are transformative to those that undertake them. I could not enjoy the work I do more!”
Education
Ellen has a bachelor’s degree in forensic anthropology from the University of Dundee and is a Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) from the Project Management Institute. She has completed numerous professional courses and qualifications related to emerging leadership, principles of team management, and international relationship management.
Travel Experience
Ellen undertook a 6-week study abroad experience in Cyprus as a summer internship during her degree, and this was a truly transformative experience for her that sparked a passion for supporting international education opportunities that has shaped her career since. She has through work and personal travel visited 35 countries to date across 6 continents, providing her with a deep and enriching understanding of cultural diversity. She finds it too hard to pick a favourite country, but India, Japan and Canada would definitely make her top 3 list (so far!).
Did You Know?
Ellen has always loved to read, with almost all who know her having seen her with her head in a book at one point or another. She averages over 80 books a year but also can’t help buying new ones so her TBR (to-be read) list stays consistently at the 150 mark, and she fears it will never come down!
