Georgia Smith
“My own experience as an international student was truly life changing and propelled me to call another continent home for over half a decade. Working in international education allows me to empower other students to see the world from new perspectives and embrace the endless opportunities that come with stepping off the plane and out of your comfort zone!”
Education
Georgia holds a bachelor’s degree in literature from the University of Exeter and while there, earned credits in both business studies and Mandarin Chinese. Following this, she completed a teaching qualification and is currently working on pursuing more qualifications in Mandarin Chinese, aiming to be fluent by 2026!
Travel Experience
Georgia’s love for travel was ignited when she was unexpectedly offered a scholarship to complete a year studying at the University of Hong Kong. After falling in love with the city, she moved back to the region in 2019 and worked in international education for more than five years, traveling to more than 15 countries in Asia.
Did You Know?
Georgia loves to take part in extreme sports or off-track adventures when traveling. She recently ticked off diving in the Philippines and trekking in search of orangutans in Borneo, and is always looking for her next adventure!
