Jutta Saarinen

“Once when I was concerned and upset, my grandmother told me, ‘In the end things tend to work out well.’ Since then I have applied her words on many occasions: during my studies, travels, and when adjusting to life in a new country and culture.”


Jutta has a master’s degree in education from the University of Helsinki, Finland. She also has an Master of Business Administration in Global Management from Hochschule Bremen, Germany, and a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Laurea Polytechnic, Finland.

Travel Experience

Jutta has participated in two Erasmus exchange programs in Barcelona, one during her business studies at the EAE and the other one during her physical education studies at the UAB. She also did part of her teacher training in Windhoek, Namibia in a local elementary school.

In addition to her study abroad experience, she has traveled in Europe and southeast Asia, and has also traveled on the Trans-Siberian train From Moscow to Peking. The one week stop in Mongolia was an unforgettable experience, according to Jutta.

Did You Know?

For 15 years Jutta did springboard and platform diving. For a couple of years, she also coached and served as a judge in national and international competitions.
