Biography

Kris is currently chief executive officer of Ardica, a next generation energy company that develops high-performance, lightweight power solutions based on solid state hydrogen. As CEO, he is responsible for all areas of Ardica’s business, including strategy, operations, product and fuel development, marketing, sales and fundraising.

Kris is also co-founder and principal at DuMonde Ventures, a venture investment and business consultancy organization. Through DuMonde, he actively invests in early stage technology companies across a range of industries, sectors and geographies, while also providing strategic and operational guidance to Fortune 1000 organizations, governments and startups.

Kris has been deeply involved in the technology space for more than 25 years, including a successful thirteen-year career at IBM where he led many of the company’s innovative new business initiatives, global industry marketing teams and some of its largest strategic alliances.

In addition to his time at IBM, Kris was a director of operations at Internet Capital Group (ICG), a director of Palm Computing’s venture fund, and a member of America Online’s (AOL) International Channel and Greenhouse program teams.

Kris holds a bachelor of arts degree in biology and economics from Bucknell University, and a master’s of business administration from Georgetown University. He resides in San Diego, California with his wife and two children. He enjoys flying, water sports, cooking, and theatre.
