Education
Valeria holds a doctorate from the University of Buenos Aires, a diploma in higher Education from FLACSO, and a specialization in Afro-Latin American Studies from the Afro-Latin American Research Institute at Harvard University. She is a former doctoral and post-doctoral fellow at the National Scientific and Technical Research Council of Argentina and a two-time Fulbright fellow.
Travel Experience
Valeria was lucky to start traveling with her family at a young age. They visited incredible places in Uruguay, Brazil, Cuba, the United States, and Europe. Her first time studying in the U.S. was thanks to a Fulbright Fellowship at UMASS. Years later, she returned to the U.S. to finish her doctorate at the University of Pennsylvania. Right before the pandemic, Valeria did a research stay for three months in the Netherlands.

Valeria is a former member of a salsa team that participated in the 2013 World Salsa Open Championship in Puerto Rico. They came in second place!
