Biography

Pardip Bolina is the Associate Director of the Center for Global and Intercultural Study (CGIS) at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. CGIS offers more than 140 study abroad programs in 50 countries, including more than 20 faculty-led programs with which Pardip works closely.

Prior to coming to the University of Michigan in 2009, Pardip developed and managed faculty-led programs at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign, where she began as an advisor for programs in Europe. She holds a master’s degree in Educational Policy Studies with a concentration in International Education from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign. Her graduate research examined issues of equity and access in higher education for indigenous communities in Ecuador and for women in rural Punjab, India. Now as an international education professional, she explores how Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (JEDI) best practices can be implemented within education abroad offices, specifically in admissions, support for students in predeparture and while abroad, curriculum taught abroad, hiring, and staff development.

Pardip has studied in Japan, France, and Mexico and has taught English in Ecuador and Italy. Originally from the Chicago area, she currently resides with her family in Ann Arbor.
