IFSA January and Spring 2026 Sweepstakes — Official Rules
YOU HAVE NOT WON ANY PRIZE. THIS PROMOTION (“PROMOTION”) IS NOT EXCLUSIVE TO YOU. To enter and participate in this Promotion, you must agree to and abide by these Rules. The Promotion is void where prohibited by law.
NO PURCHASE OR PAYMENT OF ANY KIND IS NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. PURCHASE OR PAYMENT WILL NOT IMPROVE CHANCES OF WINNING. All entries, REGARDLESS OF ENTRY TYPE, have the same chance of winning. The winner has not been identified. Sponsor does not know who the winner is. If you enter the Promotion, your entry will have the same chance to win as every other valid entry.
THE PROMOTION IS SUBJECT TO ALL FEDERAL, STATE, AND LOCAL LAWS. VOID WHERE PROHIBITED OR RESTRICTED BY LAW.
IFSA January and Spring 2026 Sweepstakes — Official Rules

1. Sponsor/Promoter
Institute for Study Abroad, Inc. (“IFSA” or “Sponsor”), 6201 Corporate Drive, Suite 200, Indianapolis, IN 46278, or Email studyabroad@ifsa-butler.org.
2. Eligibility
Open only to legal residents of the fifty (50) United States and D.C. who are at least eighteen (18) years old at the time of entry and are currently enrolled and in good academic standing at an accredited U.S. post-secondary institution. Employees, officers, and directors of Sponsor, its affiliates, and members of their immediate households are not eligible. Void in Florida, New York, and Rhode Island for the Grand Prize (as defined below) and where otherwise prohibited or restricted by law. Sponsor may require proof of current enrollment at an accredited U.S. post-secondary institution and good academic standing. Entrants: (i) agree to be bound by and comply with these Official Rules and by the interpretations of them by IFSA; and (ii) release and hold harmless IFSA from all claims arising from participation in the Promotion (including without limitation, any activities related to acceptance and/or use of a Prize (as defined below)), and/or from entrants’ acceptance, receipt, use or misuse of a Prize.
3. Entry Period
Begins May 8, 2025 at 12:00pm ET and ends September 17, 2025 at 11:59pm ET (“Entry Period”). Sponsor’s server is the official time-keeping device.
4. How to Enter
(a) Online Entry. During the Entry Period you may enter by either (i) completing and submitting the official entry form located on Sponsor’s website at https://ifsa-butler.org/special-offers-for-january-spring-2026-programs/, or (ii) completing and submitting the identical lead-generation form that appears in certain paid advertisements on Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, or X. Each properly submitted form constitutes one (1) entry in the Sweepstakes.
(b) Alternate Method of Entry (AMOE). Hand-print your full name, mailing address, phone number, and email address on a 3 × 5-inch card and mail it in a #10 envelope, postage prepaid, to IFSA January and Spring 2026 Sweepstakes – AMOE, c/o IFSA, 6201 Corporate Dr. Ste 200, Indianapolis IN 46278. Card must be post-marked by September 15, 2025 and received by September 17, 2025.
(c) Entry Limits & Authorized-Account Holder. Limit one (1) entry per person/email address in total, regardless of entry method. In the event of a dispute, entry is deemed to be made by the authorized account holder of the email address used.
5. Prize Details
- Grand Prize (three winners). An IFSA study-abroad award that covers tuition, academic fees, IFSA housing, excursions, and travel costs for the Spring 2026 term only (“Grand Prize” or “Prize”) The verifiable retail value of a Grand Prize is approximately $25,000. The Grand Prize does not include anything other than as specifically set forth in these Office Rules.
- Runner-Up Prize (twenty winners). A flight voucher (up to $750) toward travel to an IFSA program for either the January 2026 term or Spring 2026 term only (“Runner-Up Prize” or “Prize”). The verifiable retail value of a Runner-Up Prize is approximately $750. The Runner-Up Prize does not include anything other than as specifically set forth in these Official Rules.
Prizes are non-transferable and may not be redeemed for cash. Sponsor may substitute a Prize of equal or greater value if necessary. A Prize may be claimed only by individuals who have completed an IFSA program application, been accepted by IFSA, and remain enrolled in IFSA at the time a Prize is used. Grand Prizes can be applied to the Spring 2026 IFSA term only. Runner-Up Prizes can be applied to either the January 2026 or Spring 2026 Term only. Grand Prizes are not offered to residents of FL, NY, or RI; such residents remain eligible for Runner-Up Prizes.
Travel-Specific Conditions
- Prize winners are responsible for passports, visas, vaccinations, insurance, and expenses not expressly included. Travel must follow itineraries arranged by Sponsor; blackout dates and capacity limits apply. Unused portions of a Prize are forfeited and have no cash value. If a program is cancelled, Sponsor may offer an alternative IFSA program or prize of equal value in its sole discretion.
6. Winner Selection & Notification
Sponsor will conduct a random drawing from all eligible entries within seven (7) days after the Entry Period ends. Potential winners will be notified by email and/or phone within seven (7) days and must respond within seventy-two (72) hours. Any required documents (Affidavit of Eligibility, Liability & Publicity Release, IRS Form W-9) must be returned within five (5) business days, or the Prize will be forfeited and an alternate winner will be selected.
Tax notice: Each Prize valued at $600 or more will be reported on IRS Form 1099-MISC; winners are responsible for all taxes and should consult their financial-aid office about possible impacts on aid awards.
7. Odds of Winning
Odds depend on the number of eligible entries received. Three (3) winners will be selected out of a pool consisting of an undetermined pool of entrants to receive a Grand Prize. Twenty (20) winners will be selected out of a pool consisting of an undetermined pool of entrants to receive a Runner-Up Prize.
8. Publicity Release
Except where prohibited, acceptance of a prize constitutes consent for Sponsor to use the winner’s name, likeness, city/state, and photographs or recordings from the program for promotional purposes worldwide without further compensation.
9. Limitation of Liability
Sponsor is not responsible for lost, late, incomplete, damaged, or misdirected entries; technical malfunctions; or any injury or damage to persons or property. Entrants release Sponsor, its affiliates, and their officers, employees, and agents from any liability arising from participation or Prize use. Sponsor is not liable for carrier acts, delays, or governmental actions.
State notice: Because the Grand Prize is void in FL, NY, and RI, this promotion is not subject to sweepstakes registration or bonding in those states.
10. Disputes
This Sweepstakes is governed by the laws of the State of Indiana, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles.
By entering, each entrant agrees that any and all disputes, claims, or causes of action arising out of or connected with this Sweepstakes or the awarding of prizes shall be resolved exclusively through final and binding arbitration, rather than in court, in accordance with the rules and procedures of the American Arbitration Association (AAA). The arbitration shall be conducted before a single, neutral arbitrator and shall take place in the State of Indiana.
This agreement to arbitrate includes all claims arising from or relating to these Official Rules, the Sweepstakes, or its termination, whether based in contract, tort, statute, regulation, or any other legal theory. The arbitrator shall have exclusive authority to resolve any dispute relating to the formation, enforceability, interpretation, or scope of this arbitration agreement.
All aspects of the arbitration, including but not limited to any discovery, hearings, filings, and awards, shall be conducted on a confidential basis, except as required by law or for disclosures made to the parties’ legal, accounting, or professional advisors.
No party shall bring or maintain any suit in any court except for a claim to confirm, enforce, vacate, modify, or correct the arbitrator’s award, or to seek preliminary injunctive relief in aid of arbitration.
BY ENTERING THIS SWEEPSTAKES, ENTRANTS ACKNOWLEDGE THAT THEY ARE WAIVING THE RIGHT TO A TRIAL BEFORE A JUDGE OR JURY in any legal proceeding related to this Sweepstakes or these Official Rules.
11. Winner List
The names (first name, last initial, and state) of confirmed winners will be posted in a news release on Sponsor’s website at https://ifsa-butler.org/special-offers-for-january-spring-2026-programs/ within seven (7) days after verification and will remain online for at least thirty (30) days.
To receive a written copy of the winner list, mail a self-addressed, stamped envelope to “Winner List – IFSA January and Spring 2026 Sweepstakes,” c/o IFSA, 6201 Corporate Dr. Ste 200, Indianapolis IN 46278 between September 18, 2025 and October 20, 2025.
12. Privacy Policy & Data Use
Information provided is subject to IFSA’s Privacy Policy at https://ifsa-butler.org/privacy-policy/ and will be used to administer this Sweepstakes and communicate about IFSA study-abroad opportunities.
13. General Terms
(a) Platform Disclaimer. This promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, or X.
(b) Severability & Headings. If any provision is held invalid, the remainder remains in effect; headings are for convenience only.
(c) Force Majeure. Sponsor may cancel, suspend, or modify the Sweepstakes if it cannot run as planned due to pandemic, natural disaster, government restriction, war, or other force-majeure event.
(d) Reservation of Rights. Sponsor may disqualify anyone tampering with the entry process or violating these Rules and may cancel or amend the Promotion if compromised.
