Language Requirements
Can I take my classes in Spanish?
To enroll in our Spanish-taught classes at certain programs, you must have a specific language level. Please see below for more details about the language requirements. If you have questions about whether you qualify, contact your IFSA Enrollment Counselor.
Programs With 4 Semester Requirement
Four semesters means you have taken or are currently taking at least Intermediate Spanish II or the equivalent at your home university. If your college Spanish placement test placed you past Intermediate Spanish II, you could still be eligible. Contact your IFSA Enrollment Counselor for more information.
Native Speakers
As a native speaker, you can qualify for our programs regardless of the language requirement. You will take an online language placement test as a part of your application. Contact your IFSA Enrollment Counselor to get started.
No Spanish Classes or No Spanish Classes Within the Last 1-3 Years
If you have not taken any college level Spanish classes, you can still qualify for our programs. You will take an online language placement test as a part of your application. Contact your IFSA Enrollment Counselor to get started.
