New: Life Science Lab Classes at University of Westminster

Enrolling in lab classes abroad has traditionally been a challenge for U.S. life science and nursing students. But that’s changing, thanks to an expanded partnership between IFSA and University of Westminster in London.  

This exciting arrangement allows IFSA faculty to teach lab classes at Westminster’s globally renowned School of Life Sciences. With use of Westminster’s newly renovated state-of-the art facilities and equipment plus support from their technical staff, we have added two new classes:  

• Microbiology Lab (starts Fall 2026)  

• Principles of Genetics Lab (starts Spring 2027) 

Both one-credit lab courses are open to all London students in IFSA-Designed programs, such as IFSA Biosciences Career Accelerator, IFSA Health Sciences Career Accelerator, and IFSA London. 

This development creates seats that are typically prioritized for students who complete degrees on campus for visiting U.S. students. It also eliminates troublesome misalignment between credits and curriculum in the States and the UK.
