Emily Beck

“I appreciate the incredible impact that study abroad can have on a student’s life, and I have enjoyed helping facilitate study abroad experiences for students throughout my career at IFSA, from my first position as a program advisor to my time as an interim resident director in Chile to my current role helping support customized programs.”

Education

Emily graduated magna cum laude from Hanover College with a bachelor’s degree in Spanish and a minor in political science, and earned a Leadership Development Certificate from Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis.

Travel Experience

Emily’s first trip abroad was to Spain and France as a high school senior, during which time she was bit by the international travel bug. Studying abroad a few years later at the Universidad del Valle de Atemajac in Guadalajara, Mexico solidified her goal to seek a career in education abroad. Emily’s most memorable travel experiences as an IFSA employee have been to Havana, Cuba, and Machu Picchu in Peru.
