Holly Hudson, Ed.D.

Associate Vice President, Global Engagement, Texas A&M

Biography

Dr. Holly Hudson serves as the Associate Vice President for Global Engagement and Senior International Officer at Texas A&M University. In this capacity, she provides leadership and oversight of the Global Engagement department and works across the university to promote, support, and ensure the execution of Texas A&M’s global strategic plan.

Dr. Hudson has worked in international education for two decades and is an active leader in the field. She holds membership and various roles in the Association of International Education Administrators, NAFSA: Association of International Education, The Forum on Education Abroad, and Diversity Abroad.

In 2022, she was recognized for her work with the NAFSA Region III Award for Outstanding Service to International Education. She currently serves on the Advisory Board for Podium Education and as Chair of the NAFSA Education Abroad Regulatory Practice Financial Aid Subcommittee. Dr. Hudson also served on NAFSA’s International Education Professional Competencies Review Working Group and the Forum Standards Consensus Body to update the Standards of Good Practice.

Dr. Hudson earned a Bachelor of Arts in History and a Master of Science in Economic Development with an emphasis on International Development from the University of Southern Mississippi and a Doctor of Education in Higher Education Administration from the University of Alabama.

She is an advocate for access, equity, and inclusion and frequently presents regionally and nationally on topics such as risk management, diversity and inclusion, and partnership and program development.
