Roger Adkins

Biography

Roger Adkins (they/them) serves as the Director of Global Education at Colby College in Maine. Roger has been in the field of global learning for more than two decades and has experience managing study abroad and study away programming as well as international student and scholar services. Before joining the team at Colby, Roger held similar positions at Earlham College and Gustavus Adolphus College; a consulting position in global learning at Cal Poly in San Luis Obispo; and entry- and mid-level positions at the University of Oregon.

Roger holds both a Ph.D. and M.A. in comparative literature, an M.A. in gender studies, and a B.A. in English and creative writing. They are actively engaged in research both in the field of global learning and in the academic fields of literary and cultural studies, folklore, and gender studies.
