“Study abroad can be a catalyst for personal and social transformation. I believe young people have the power to lead meaningful change – sometimes all it takes is the right opportunity and someone who believes in them.”

Education

Sage is currently completing a Bachelor of Commerce at the University of Otago, majoring in Politics, Philosophy, and Economics, with minors in Sociology and a focus on sustainability. Her academic interests explore the intersections of social equity, public policy, and environmental responsibility.

Travel Experience

Originally from Auckland, Sage relocated to Dunedin for university and quickly became immersed in campus life and leadership. While she hasn’t studied abroad herself (yet!), she is passionate about cultural exchange and has supported students through peer advocacy roles. Her future goals include postgraduate study and international travel.

Did You Know?

Sage is a self-declared cat whisperer and has an uncanny ability to befriend even the most aloof felines. She is hoping to either foster or adopt next year!
