HBCU Grants for Career-Focused Study Abroad

IFSA GLOBAL LEADERSHIP & CAREER CONSORTIUM 

Study Abroad in 2026 with a Grant of Up to $5,000  

Join a unique HBCU community in any of three global cities and launch career success with special grants for a new kind of study-abroad experience. 

$5,000 for students at public HBCUs  

If your tuition is under $15,000 per academic year, you’re eligible for a $5,000 grant for these Fall 2026 programs:  

• IFSA Biosciences Career Accelerator in London
• IFSA Health Sciences Career Accelerator in London  
• IFSA Tech Career Accelerator in Prague 
• IFSA Business Career Accelerator in Barcelona

Participating public HBCUs: 

• Alcorn State University
• Elizabeth City State University
• North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University
• North Carolina Central University
• Prairie View A&M University
• Southern University at New Orleans

$3,500 for students at private HBCUs 

If you’re in good academic standing at one of the schools below, you’re eligible for a $3,500 grant for these Fall 2026 programs:  

• IFSA Biosciences Career Accelerator in London 
• IFSA Health Sciences Career Accelerator in London  
• IFSA Tech Career Accelerator in Prague
• IFSA Business Career Accelerator in Barcelona

Participating private HBCUs: 

• Howard University  
• Morehouse College 
• Spelman College 
• Tuskegee University 

More awards for these HBCU students  

• $3,500 grants for any IFSA Fall 2026 or Spring 2027 program 
• $1,000 grants for any IFSA Summer 2026 program
