Allie B. (she/her) | University of Minnesota, Twin Cities | Communication major and Spanish minor | Argentine Universities Program in Buenos Aires, Argentina
“I chose the IFSA Argentina Universities Program because I want to perfect my Spanish and step outside of my comfort zone by living in a culture that is new to me. I’ve always dreamed of living abroad in a Spanish speaking country, and Argentina feels like the perfect place to do that. I’m really excited to learn about Argentina’s rich culture and traditions, and experience a new way of life.”

Gabe S. (he/him) | Williams College | Political Science | IFSA Chilean Universities Program in Valparaíso, Chile
“I chose to study in Valparaíso, Chile, as an opportunity to improve my Spanish and delve into Politics, Art, Poetry, and Journalism, all while living on the culturally and historically rich, beautiful Chilean coastline.”

Leslie G. (she/her) | North Carolina Central University | Biology major and Chemistry minor | IFSA Health Sciences Career Accelerator in London, England
“I chose [this] IFSA program in London because of my strong interest in architecture and history, and London offers an incredible opportunity to experience both firsthand. It has also been a long-time dream of mine to travel throughout Europe, and London is the perfect home base for exploring nearby countries. As a pre-med student, I was especially drawn to the Health Science Career Accelerator program because I believe it will help me strengthen my communication and leadership skills in a global health care setting. I am most excited to meet people who share similar interests and to explore how medicine and health care are structured internationally, in addition to experiencing life outside the United States.”

Mahmuda C. (she/her) | University of Michigan, Ann Arbor | Public Policy | IFSA London in England
“I chose the IFSA London program because of its strong course offerings, especially in tech policy. The U.K. takes a different approach to regulating technology and artificial intelligence compared to the U.S., and I’m excited to learn more about those policy frameworks in a global context. Beyond academics, I was drawn to London because of its diversity, rich history, and endless opportunities to explore.”

Anthony V. (he/they) | Washington University St. Louis | Environmental Engineering | University College Dublin Partnership in Ireland
“I chose the University College Dublin IFSA program due to the unique opportunity of taking graduate level environmental engineering courses in the School of Engineering at UCD, as well as being able to immerse myself in Irish culture and customs. During this experience I am most excited to make new friends.”

Kacey F. (she/her) | Columbia University | Political Science major and Film and Music double minor | University of Sydney Partnership in Australia
“I’ve never been to Australia before, so I really wanted to take this opportunity to experience the incredibly unique cities, nature, and wildlife! I’m hoping to make lasting connections at the University of Sydney via participating in student clubs and activities. I’m also hoping to travel across Australia while I’m here.”

Omar H. (he/him) | Vanderbilt University | Human and Organizational Development & Cognitive Studies | University of New South Wales Partnership in Sydney, Australia
“I chose IFSA’s program in Sydney because it truly felt like an opportunity to run toward the [unknown] and step outside my comfort zone while studying at UNSW, a top-ranked global university. I am excited to learn all about Sydney and what Australia has to offer, from its beaches and natural landscapes to its wildlife and vibrant city life. Studying abroad allows me to continue my academic journey while growing personally, gaining a wider global perspective, and learning in a new cultural context. As a first-generation college student, this experience is especially meaningful to me, as it represents both academic opportunity and personal courage while embracing something unfamiliar in order to grow as both a student and a person.”

Simone C. (she/her) | George Washington University | International Business | IFSA Barcelona in Spain
“I chose the IFSA Barcelona program because of its location and the city’s vibrant culture. I’m excited to immerse myself in local life while also taking advantage of Barcelona’s location to explore other cities and countries throughout Europe.”
