Meet Our Fall 2026 IFSA Marketing Correspondents

This fall, eight IFSA students are taking us along for the journey as they study abroad across the globe. Our Fall 2026 Marketing Correspondents will be sharing an authentic look at life abroad in Australia, China, the Czech Republic, England, Mexico, New Zealand and Scotland through photos, videos, and personal stories.
The IFSA Marketing Correspondent program is designed to help students defray study abroad costs and gain valuable experience.

“I chose to study at the University of New South Wales because it offers a special opportunity to pursue my academic interests while living in one of the world’s most environmentally distinctive cities. As a STEM major with specific course requirements, I was drawn to UNSW’s exceptional mathematics and statistics programs. At the same time, Sydney provides an ideal setting to deepen my interest in the natural sciences by learning from its unique ecosystems and commitment to conservation. During my time abroad, I truly hope to develop a broader understanding of sustainability, commerce, and culture from a global perspective.”

“I chose the IFSA University of Edinburgh program because of the unique experience of receiving direct support from a study abroad institution like IFSA while still being immersed in a prestigious campus like Edinburgh. As a student from the Philippines, I am so excited to be immersed in the culture of the UK and stay on track with a university that aligns with both my professional and personal goals. Deepening my understanding of Information Science classes and allowing me the agency to explore an internationally diverse city with a rich history is an opportunity I know will shape who I am and continue to grow in to.”

“Because my academic interests largely focus on China (and more broadly, the East Asian region), I chose the IFSA Shanghai semester program in order to contextualize what I have learned––and what I will learn––about Chinese history, politics, culture, and economy. From centuries of maritime history to decades of colonial intrusion, from Japanese invasion to the civil war, from the founding of the Communist Party to the flourishing of the open market, Shanghai boasts a rich history and a unique Chinese spirit that I am eager to explore. Moreover, this program enables me to immerse myself in the language I have been studying for over a year. Over the course of my semester abroad, I hope to become confidently conversational and begin to apply my language skills to my research.”

“My decision to attend Pembroke College at the University of Cambridge is especially meaningful because Oxford and Cambridge have represented possibility in my family for as long as I can remember. As the daughter of immigrants, I grew up hearing my parents speak about both universities as places that once felt impossibly far from our own lives. Now, I will have the opportunity to spend a semester there studying politics and theology, two subjects that have shaped many of the questions I care most about concerning power, belief, identity, and society. Cambridge was also one of the few institutions in the United Kingdom that offered the specific papers I wanted to pursue, which made the program feel like more than simply the chance to study at a prestigious university. It was one of the rare places where the academic opportunities matched both my interests and the larger meaning that Cambridge has always held for my family.”

“I chose the IFSA Prague program because I wanted to challenge myself by experiencing life and education in a completely different culture while continuing to grow academically and professionally. Prague’s location also makes it a great place to explore different countries, histories, and perspectives throughout Europe. As someone interested in technology, entrepreneurship, and leadership, I believe studying abroad will help me become more adaptable, independent, and globally minded. I’m most excited to immerse myself in Czech culture, meet people from around the world, travel across Europe, and create experiences that will shape both my personal growth and future career.
