“Learning about the world’s many diverse cultures through travel, interaction, and human connection is an extremely rewarding experience that I am passionate about pursuing throughout my life. Through IFSA, I am able to fulfill that dream while also being allowed to share it and encourage others to pursue these same ambitions.”

Education

Aurora is entering her senior year of undergraduate studies at Soka University of America, pursing a Bachelor of Arts with concentrations in international studies and humanities. She plans to further her educational career after graduating by attending graduate school, focusing on translation and interpretation.

Travel Experience

During high school, Aurora traveled to and studied abroad in Spain for two weeks with her Spanish class. During the pandemic and while attending college through online classes, she moved to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, with a fellow classmate for nearly six months and fell in love with the country. Most recently, she completed a semester IFSA study abroad program in Heredia, Costa Rica, and learned to appreciate all over again the experience of building and learning a new way of life in another country.
