Dominika Švecová

“Adaptation and the ability to quickly find your way in a new environment is one of the most important skills.”

Education

Dominika has experience in both Czech and British education systems. After graduating from the University of Ostrava in the Czech Republic, she earned a Master of Arts degree from Edinburgh University. During her studies abroad, she visited China and India.

She has worked as a part-time lecturer at Aberystwyth University in Wales, United Kingdom.

As part of her doctorate program, Dominika, together with psychotherapists and academics from the University of South Bohemia in the Czech Republic, researched, led, and filmed a project of film psychotherapy working with clients who have experienced trauma.

Every month, as an InterNations Consul, she organizes events and excursions for expats living in Prague to help them get to know the Czech Republic, Czech culture, and acquire intercultural agility.

Travel Experience

Dominika has lived and studied in Ireland, Scotland, and Wales. She has traveled extensively in Europe, visited Asia several times, and been to Australia and South Africa. She has traveled independently as well as with the British academic Study China and Study India programs.
